Imohine has awarded SANJOSE Constructora Portugal Stage II of the refurbishment works of the Ludovice Palace in Lisbon and its remodelling into a five-star hotel with 62 rooms. It will also have a restaurant, bar, meeting room, terrace, commercial space, etc.
The Palace, designed by João Frederico Ludovice in the 18th century, is located on 39-49, rua de S. Pedro de Alcantara (Barrio Alto de Lisboa) and has a built surface of about 5,000 square meters.
It is considered an example of Portuguese architecture of late Baroque and is a reference of the palatial architecture of the city.
Stage I, also executed by SANJOSE, consisted of the demolition of the roof, for its subsequent enlargement, its replacement and structural reinforcement. At level -1 a support structure of the existing structure was also created, to execute a new basement.
